Shahram Ariafar
Chief Executive Officer and Space Surveillance Analyst
Shahram Ariafar is space surveillance analyst and the Chief Executive Officer of Corona Space A/S, headquartered in Oslo, Norway.
Shahram founded Corona Space in 2005 (earlier name: Corona Space Surveillance Centre - CSSC) together with Alexandre Nicolas.
Shahram took over as CEO of the company in January 2007.
Largely credited with the company's increased growth and earnings, Shahram has focused Corona Space's resources into developing
new markets and clients. Under Shahram's leadership, Corona Space has made major contributions in space surveillance and, has
diversified into new markets.
Shahram has been awarded the Norwegian Top 10 Award in 2006. He was also awarded grants from Innovation Norway in 2005 and 2006.
Shahram has been recognized as Expert Evaluator by The International Association for the Promotion of Co-operation with Scientists from
the New Independent States of the Former Soviet Union (INTAS) and is the Chairman Space Surveillance Special Session at the 3rd International
Conference on Recent Advances in Space Technologies (Space for a More Secure World). Shahram has several publications in space surveillance
related subjects.
Following a B.Sc. in aerospace engineering, Shahram obtained B.A. in computer science from Buskerud University College, M.Sc. in automatic
control systems from Telemark University College and, M.Sc. in space studies from International Space University. He lives in Oslo and enjoys traveling.
