Internet with the HTC Titan

by Gareth Jale

The HTC Titan smart phone has various connectivity features among them the Wi-Fi connection. There are many functionalities to explore in which you would use the Wi-Fi feature of the smart phone, but primary step is to turn it on. Some functionalities have tremendous potential when used with various settings and with specific Titan. The capabilities also depend on the user's knowledge of how to use the Wi-Fi feature.

The first and most common use of the Wi-Fi happen to be connecting to the internet. The Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n feature provides the phone with wireless network signal protection against various threats and allows the use of the phone over the wireless networks. The user can control the phone connections manually to connect to a particular network of his choice from the various choices available. This allows one to connect to the internet as long as one has connectivity to the wireless signal. If your smart phone is required to be used as a hotspot device, you will have to set it so a particular position. A positioning of the phone to a specific angle will be required to gain the highest level of Wi-Fi signal in a wireless network.

One may also use the phone as a hotspot and share the wireless signal between other devices connected to the phone in a private network. Since the phone may easily connect with other home devices via the Bluetooth signal, one may use the phones ability to connect to a Wi-Fi to allow other devices the same privilege. You can device your own local private network in which you can hook onto internet through the phone by sharing the wireless signal with other gadgets.

All devices may not connect to your phone with Wi-Fi due to either they lack the Wi-Fi capability even though they are in the network, or they are set in a wrong position thereby getting a weak signal. In this case, one may integrate devices that have Bluetooth connectivity or via other accessories, such as a USB connection device for your smart phone. Setting up a network between devices is relatively easy with the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities, but one might need to get some tips on the networks from different gurus.

The same connectivity may also aid in communication. Since the phone allows one to engage in various communication modes such as video chats, the Wi-Fi connection may also allow one such means of communication within the network. The only condition for communication between various devices on the network is their ability to have this feature. You may be required to install software in the devices which are on network so as so use a common application together. Although the HTC phone may have the Wi-Fi connectivity, one still needs the other systems to have the ability to make use of the full capacity of the network.

Another functionality of the Wi-Fi that is there in the HTC phone is having a capability to share the files over the network. The Wi-Fi signal can also be used as a means to transfer files between devices in the network. You can also permit access to certain folders or partitions of your storage, to other devices on the network. This way a substantial cost of cables required for networking between various devices can be saved by means of sharing files through a wireless network. Using this function, one may create backups, transfer documents as well as play multimedia files over the network. Lastly, for the safekeeping of your valuable smart phone during heavy usage you can buy essential accessories, such as a screen protector and a case.
