by Karri Owens

Most significant features that people want once they purchase a cell phone is simplicity. Apple knows what customers want, and they take created the Apple iPhone that said. This is one of the reasons this phone has become so popular. It is easy to stay in touch together with your iPhone. Playing around with the iPhone is so much fun. However, the iPhone has missed on the couple of points. There is a disadvantage in the iPhone. It is not the perfect peripheral that it proclaims to be. Some of the issues are using the battery, memory, and AT&T.

What - you will find there's downside to the iPhone? Actually, there are lots of. The first issue is with memory. It's not at all possible to upgrade or improve the iPhones memory. You have either 6 GB, 8 GB, or a 16 GB model that is certainly it. If you love to download content and music, you may quickly find yourself running out of space. This means loading and unloading content from your iPhone to your computer. There's nothing more annoying than starting a download and determining you cannot complete it as your memory is too low. This was one region that Apple missed on. Teenagers can download an amazing amount of music and video content. Having the option to use memory sticks would have been a nice feature.

Many iPhone users are unhappy while using fact that the iPhone battery is sealed and can't be changed. The overall consensus while using current owners is that they are not warned about the battery situation. Apple has been sued about the iPhone battery along with the lack of disclosure on the fact it can't be changed. I agree using the users here. If you shell out $500-$600 for a phone and it dies in Half a year, you are going to be pretty upset. The opportunity to change cell phone batteries is standard inside the cell phone industry. Perhaps apple could have been better off with making money on battery replacements which would have many users happy and Apple beyond court. Short battery life may be the number one complaint of heavy mobile phone users. This is another downside to the iPhone.

Finally, the calling plans that AT&T offers for that iPhone leave a lot to be desired. Lacking calling plans that permit free usage between AT&T users, or calling circles, or any other forms of unlimited use, AT&T has fallen behind all of the other cell phone carriers. Furthermore, limits on area coverage and interruptions operating reduce the cell phone user's a sense freedom. This is why most of us chose to have a cell phone - a chance to roam and call to view the leonids we please. The iPhone and AT&T really shaft the customer on the exclusive contract relating to the two. AT&T has no incentive to present better rates to iPhone users since they legally cannot go somewhere else. Roaming charges and fees to the iPhone are astronomical. This is a downside to the iPhone which is compounded by the fact that hackers are finding a way to unlock these phones for them to be used on other cellphone networks. Apple set itself up just for this one, and until the exclusivity is removed, the hackers are going to be immediately breaking into every code update that Apple releases.

Apple has been making computers and peripheral devices for many years now. You would have belief that they would have put more effort into researching the consequences on users that memory, life cycle of battery, and availability of an affordable cellular phone plan would have on potential users. I foresee a decline within the iPhones popularity due to these concerns. Hackers will keep having a field day with unlocking iPhones until the agreement between AT&T and Apple expires, or it gets shipped to the courts. It will be interesting to view how the battery issues prove in court. There is a downside to the iPhone and Apple did nothing to fix it.
